Do I have your attention yet?
There are countless tasks, jobs, responsibilities, and more that we take on when we agree to being a PTG leader. One of the of the most important roles is raising money! It has been my experience that in my PTG everything we do is centered around two big questions: How much will this cost? and/or How much can we earn?
Let’s get right down to it and talk about earning money. There are tons of methods in which your PTG can bring in some of that green stuff for your organization.
Shop here, make some cash
Sell this, make some cash
Ask for donations, make some cash
Let’s be honest
Just like all things in PTGs, some projects are a hit and some are less than successful! I always say, we aren’t out much for trying except for our time, energy and effort! Every dollar earned is an extra dollar that can be put toward making big things happen in your PTG & your school!
Don’t forget to reflect and evaluate
After every fundraising event, I encourage you to reflect on the project and determine if it was an effective method. Evaluate the amount of time and attention you and your volunteers put into the event. Then look at the amount of money earned. If the program depleted your resources without much of a return, it might be one you decide to skip next year.
Do you have suggestions that you would like to see added to my collection? Please contact me and share your ideas! I would love to hear from you!
Thanks so much for spending a little of your valuable time with me!
